أعلنت المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين الثلاثاء أن 100 ألف شخص على الأقل نزحوا منذ استئناف المعارك في اليمن بين الحوثيين المدعومين من إيران والقوات الحكومية المدعومة من السعودية، والتي سيطر خلالها المتمردون على الساحل الغربي للبلاد ومنطقة مضيق باب المندب.
وأفادت المفوضية بأن "التصعيد السريع للأعمال القتالية على طول الساحل الغربي لليمن تسببت بنزوح أكثر من 100 ألف شخص داخل البلاد، ودفعت آلاف الآخرين للبحث عن ملجأ في جيبوتي، على الطرف الآخر من مضيق باب المندب".
