Les combattants yéménites houthis ont cherché vendredi à rassurer la communauté internationale sur la liberté de navigation dans le détroit de Bab el-Mandeb après s'être emparés d'une île dans cette voie maritime stratégique.
"La liberté de navigation et le commerce international en mer Rouge et dans le détroit de Bab el-Mandeb sont sûrs et se déroulent normalement", a déclaré Hazem al-Assad, un membre du bureau politique des Houthis, au média Al-Araby al-Jadeed. "Il n'y a aucune raison de s'inquiéter au niveau international", a-t-il ajouté.
