قال نائب الرئيس الأميركي جي دي فانس الخميس إن الولايات المتحدة تحقق في ضربة طالت حفل زفاف في جنوب إيران وأسفرت عن مقتل أربعة أشخاص، وحمّلت طهران واشنطن المسؤولية عنها، مع تشكيكه برواية الجمهورية الإسلامية.
وقال فانس للصحافيين في البيت الأبيض "أعلم أننا نحقق في الأمر... ما سأقوله هو إن وسائل الإعلام الرسمية الإيرانية لم تكن إلى الآن ناقلا موثوقا لما يحدث في هذا النزاع. لذلك أنا متشكك للغاية حيال ذلك".
