Dos personas murieron y varias más resultaron heridas, entre ellas tres agentes de policía, cuando un hombre armado abrió fuego en la ciudad estadounidense de Mineápolis el miércoles, informó la policía.
El sospechoso también estaba muerto, dijo en una rueda de prensa el portavoz de la policía, Garret Parten, quien añadió que no estaba claro cómo había fallecido.
Una persona murió en el lugar de los hechos, agregó Parten. Cuatro fueron trasladadas al hospital, donde una murió posteriormente.
También fueron llevados al hospital tres agentes de policía, entre ellos dos que recibieron disparos. Una fuente del hospital le dijo a la AFP que ambos se encontraban "en condición estable".
Uno de ellos fue alcanzado en la pierna, mientras que otro estaba siendo operado. No estaba claro qué lesiones había sufrido el tercer agente.
Durante la rueda de prensa no se mencionó ningún posible motivo del tiroteo.
El gobernador Tim Walz pidió al público que "rece" por el estado de Minesota, mientras que el director del FBI, Kash Patel, dijo que sus agentes estaban respondiendo al incidente.
