AFP at the Second Deauville Sport Images Festival
From June 6 to September 6, 2026, the city of Deauville will host the second edition of the Deauville Sport Images Festival, an event dedicated to sports photography. AFP is a partner of the exhibition.
The festival’s 2026 edition gives special prominence to women's sports, via exhibitions and screenings devoted to dedicated athletes, women photographers, and leading figures in sports past and present.
On this occasion, the work of AFP photojournalists is being showcased in several exhibitions and screenings.
An exclusive exhibition: The Women's Tour, by Jeff Pachoud, AFP photographer
This exhibition offers an immersive experience in women's cycling through portraits and race scenes captured during the Tour de France Femmes. Jeff Pachoud captures in his photos the effort, pain, grace, and intense connection between the athletes and their bikes. Switching between blur and focus, the pictures capture the power and emotion of women's cycling.
Group Exhibitions
AFP photographers are also featured in several group exhibitions, including “20 Women's Sports Photos That Made History,” which brings together iconic images. The exhibition highlights athletes with outstanding, courageous, or exceptional careers, and showcases the ongoing struggles of women to carve out a place in a world long reserved for men.
The “Best of 2025-2026” exhibition offers a colorful kaleidoscope. Close-up shots of athletes are placed together with images bearing witness to the sometimes unexpected changes transforming sports today.
