Emmanuel Gonce appointed Chief Information Officer at AFP
AFP announces the appointment of Emmanuel Gonce as Chief Information Officer (CIO). He will take up his position on June 8.
Emmanuel Gonce will be responsible in particular for steering the evolution of the Agency’s technological architecture, with priority given to integrating AI into AFP’s text, photo and video production and distribution processes. (same edits as above)
A graduate in engineering from the National Institute of Applied Sciense (INSA) in Lyon, Emmanuel Gonce has spent most of his career in the media and content production sector. He began his career in 2000 at Canal+, where for ten years he worked on the transition to digital production and distribution methods, before holding operational management positions at Airbus in the United Kingdom.
Since 2015, he has worked at France Télévisions, where he was most recently head of engineering for the newsrooms. There, he led the transformation of the editorial tools used by 3,000 journalists and oversaw the rollout of major IT solutions, including the first AI integrations for the public broadcasting group’s newsrooms.
