AFP photographer Bay Ismoyo wins the Indonesian Photo Award

The jury of the Indonesian Photo Award 2012 has rewarded Bay Ismoyo, photojournalist at the Agence France-Presse.

This photograph taken on July 6, 2012 shows an Indonesian laborer pulling a wooden cart loaded with sacks of cement in front of a banner displaying pictures of candidates competing for the position of Jakarta governor and deputy governor. Voting began for a new governor for Jakarta, the sprawling Indonesian capital known for its chaotic traffic jams, knee-deep flooding and poor infrastructure.
