Rose, Scott among 2027 World Golf Hall of Fame finalists

England's Justin Rose and Australian Adam Scott were among finalists announced on Monday for the 2027 induction class at the World Golf Hall of Fame.

Rose, the 2013 US Open champion, and Scott, the 2013 Masters winner, were joined by 1995 US Open champion Corey Pavin and fellow American Jim Furyk, the 2003 US Open winner, in the male player category.

South Korea's Park In-bee, seven times a major champion, was nominated in the women's player category along with Sweden's Liselotte Neumann, the 1988 US Women's Open champion, and Americans Cristie Kerr and Dottie Pepper, both two-time major winners.

Other finalists included Ted Ray, Jay Sigel and Alexa Stirling in the amateurs-historic category and television commentator Jim Nantz, course architect Harry Colt and coach Butch Harmon from the contributors category.

A total of 162 nominees were trimmed to the finalist list, with a 24-member selection committee to make final selections, 75 per cent approval needed.

Hall of Fame selections will be announced in December with induction ceremonies set for July 12 at St. Andrews, Scotland.
