AFP photographer Guillermo Arias on Saturday won the top prize at photojournalism's biggest annual festival for his coverage of migrants from Central America.
The Consulate General of France in Los Angeles is honoring the centennial of Romain Gary’s birth on Thursday May 15th with a book signing by his biographer David Bellos and a cocktail reception at the Egyptian Theatre, followed by a screening and discussion of The Roots of Heaven (film adaptation of Gary’s novel by director John Huston).
JAKARTA – Agence France-Presse (AFP) and its longtime Indonesian partner, the Antara news agency, have launched a major photo exhibition in Jakarta on the history and highlights of the football World Cup in time for the 2014 championship in Brazil.
The 26th edition of the Bayeux Calvados-Normandy awards for war correspondents is being held from 7 to 13 october 2019. The work of AFP journalists in Venezuela, Afghanistan and Gaza will be presented.
