Three AFP digital investigations journalists trained around 30 journalists from Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Sao Tome and Principe and Mozambique in Maputo between 12 and 14 July.

AFP was out in force at the World News Media Congress, organised by WAN-IFRA, the global association of news publishers. The event took place in Taipei on June 28-30, bringing together industry leaders, journalists, and media professionals from around the world.

AFP is an official partner of the 10th annual conference of the IFCN (International Fact-Checking Network), which will be taking place in Seoul, South Korea from June 28th to the 30th.

The 2023 edition of News Xchange, the annual meeting of the international media industry, is currently taking place in Dublin. AFP will take over the emblematic Gravity Bar in Dublin at the Guinness Storehouse on Monday, June 19 from 8 pm for an evening of networking, and will take part in conferences on Tuesday, June 20.

Last Monday, AFP and the NGO Chequeado lauched a new edition of the collaborative journalism consortium Reverso, uniting over 100 media outlets and organizations.

Reverso was launched for the first time during the 2019 Argentinian elections. Its objective is to fight against disinformation throughout the entirety of the elections through the production of articles and audio-visual content.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans race ("24 Heures du Mans" in French) will celebrate its centenary this year, during its 2023 edition on June 10-11. The internationally famous sports car race is held annually near the town of Le Mans, France, and it represents the world's oldest active endurance racing event.

For the 4th year running, AFP is partnering La Gacilly Photo Festival, which takes place from June 1 to October 1, 2023 in the Breton village.

The festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year – the theme of the event is Nature as Heritage, a reminder of its mission to work towards a more responsible world.
