اعتبرت الخارجية الدنماركية السبت أن الاتفاق "الملزم" الذي تم التوصل إليه مع واشنطن حول غرينلاند "يعزز الأمن" في منطقة القطب الشمالي بأكملها، وذلك على بعد أيام من موعد توقيعه.
وقال وزير الخارجية لارس لوكه راسموسن في منشور عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي "الأسبوع المقبل قد يحمل أحداثا جيدة بالنسبة لغرينلاند والدنمارك والولايات المتحدة على حد سواء. نأمل أن تنتهي حقبة عدم الاستقرار المستمرة منذ فترة طويلة، ويحل مكانها اتفاق ملزم يسهم في تعزيز الأمن في القطب الشمالي وشمال الأطلسي، وبالتالي أمننا المشترك في حلف شمال الأطلسي وأوروبا".
