رفضت السلطة الفلسطينية الخميس قرار وزارة الخارجية الأميركية عدم منح تأشيرة للرئيس محمود عباس لحضور اجتماعات الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في نيويورك الأسبوع المقبل للعام الثاني على التوالي، ووصفته بأنه "إجراء غير مبرر".
وأعربت وزارة الخارجية الفلسطينية في بيان "عن رفض دولة فلسطين للقرار ... وترى فيه إجراء غير مبرر يتعارض مع الجهود المبذولة لاستعادة الثقة، وتطوير العلاقات الفلسطينية–الأميركية، وتهيئة المناخ السياسي اللازم لتنفيذ حل الدولتين وتحقيق السلام والاستقرار في المنطقة".
