AFP creates the exhibition “Sport and Tradition” in Bangkok

This AFP exhibition, in partnership with the Alliance française of Bangkok and the French Embassy in Thailand, brings together in one place stunning images taken by AFP photographers around the world: “Kushti” fighters in India and Pakistan, covered from head to toe in dirt, sit alongside water buffalo races in Indonesia inspired by work on the farm.

The work goes beyond big sporting events like the Olympics or the World Cup covered in real time by AFP and brings to life traditional sports or games that have their roots in more recent customs.

This exhibition, which has already been presented in Paris, Tokyo and Rabat, was inaugurated in Bangkok on the 10th of May 2018 in the presence of Philippe Massonnet, Regional Director Asia-Pacific, who, on this occasion, paid a tribute to the AFP photographer Shah Marai who was recently killed in a double attack in Kabul.

We invite you to discover this unusual exhibition which will transport you beyond borders.
