An AFP journalist in Kyiv heard around a dozen "strong" explosions Wednesday, after authorities in the Ukrainian capital warned of a missile threat.
"An air raid alert has been declared in Kyiv due to the threat of missile strikes. We urge residents to proceed to the nearest shelters," the Kyiv City Military Administration wrote on Telegram.
