AFP to be the first global news agency to offer High Definition videos

Agence France-Presse (AFP) will be the first global news agency to introduce High Definition videos. The HD roll out will begin September 15th in French and English and over the following weeks, AFP’s HD videos will be available in the 5 other AFP VIDEO languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, German and Polish.

AFP will make High Definition videos available for its entire portfolio of video products, including video partners such as Paris Modes and Getty Images . It will also provide i Pad compatible videos

AFP VIDEO has expanded its service and production network to over 80 units around the world, with an output of 1,000 new videos per month in 7 languages. Special emphasis is placed on the highest quality images, sound, scriptwriting and storytelling. Coverage includes a variety of themes such as international news, business, lifestyle, offbeat, environment, entertainment, fashion and sports.

Paris Modes covers the Paris, New York, Milan and London Fashion Weeks, and the best of global fashion, style, luxury, beauty and trends. Getty Images captures the world’s major stars on the red carpets of film premieres (Hollywood, New York, London) and international festivals, prestigious parties and awards shows including the Oscars.
