THE JOB
Agence France-Presse is seeking a dynamic English-language journalist to cover macro economic news in its busy Washington, DC office, AFP's main hub for North America.
Working under the direction of the North America editorial management, you will write and edit stories at ground zero for the global economy, where trade and economic policy developments can have dramatic implications for the world.
THE JOB
Agence France-Presse (AFP) news agency is looking for a senior correspondent for its Kyiv Bureau starting in January 2023. You must speak at least some Ukrainian and/or Russian, be able to write clean copy in English, have some knowledge of the country and already have several years’ experience in journalism.
THE JOB
The English-speaking correspondent in Beirut is part of a team of six text journalists (among them the bureau chief) working in Arabic, English and French.
The workload can be intense and time consuming. Many days will include multiple news breaks and alert series. You must have the ability to write fast, lively and accurate wraps, as well as scene, focus or analysis pieces that need to be quickly turned around.
Fast-paced and exciting, the job involves a mix of reporting and editing both news and feature videos. Reporting to the Lagos video coordinator, bureau chief and news editor, and in close cooperation with the Africa desk in London, you will help to run and coordinate the video coverage throughout West and Central Africa.
