Luis Sequeira, an AFP video stringers from Nicaragua, wins the prestigious Rory Peck Award which each year recognises the best work by freelance photo and video journalists.
AFP is also rewarded with the 1st prize in the "News Story" category during the 2019 edition of the competition.
The 2019 edition of the World Press Photo honours 3 AFP photographers.
This award, in association with Shutterstock, honors Britain's most talented photographers and videojournalists, and recognise outstanding photography from the world of news, royalty, sport, business, fashion and entertainment.
Two AFP photographers have been awarded at NPPA Annual Awards for their pictures in the categories "Politics", "Politics Story" and "Breaking News Story".
The 2018 Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar Photo Contest recognized the work of five AFP photographers.
