Global news leader AFP is offering an exciting opportunity to be a part of the agency’s fast-growing digital verification network, which has taken a frontline role in combatting misinformation, fact-checking and monitoring emerging narratives that shape public perceptions of news events around the world.
The editor will focus on misinformation in North America and edit fact-checking stories from around the region.
THE JOB
The Moscow bureau covers a busy, complex and fascinating region of 280 million people: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
The journalist, who will be writing in English, will cover breaking news in a highly competitive environment, showing strong news judgement and the ability to write punchy, engaging copy. You will generate lively, image-rich feature and focus stories in close cooperation with other members of a dynamic multimedia team.
Charles-Guillaume and Auguste Havas take over the Agency’s management from their father.
