  The Consulate General of France in Los Angeles is honoring the centennial of Romain Gary’s birth on Thursday May 15th with a book signing by his biographer David Bellos and a cocktail reception at the Egyptian Theatre, followed by a screening and discussion of The Roots of Heaven (film adaptation of Gary’s novel by director John Huston).
