AFP launches its official Facebook page in English
AFP has launched an official Facebook page in English following the French page launched October 21 joining other media organizations operating on the leading social networking site.
The page will be updated through the week with:
- Two to three AFP stories a day – one a top world news story, another a top sports news story, and a third that is a feature, interview or exclusive that showcases AFP strengths. The stories will be accompanied by questions where appropriate
- A photo of the day with caption
- A video of the day with caption
From time to time, the page will present new information about AFP and what the agency is doing. For example:
- The creation of a new service, the announcement of awards etc
- Information about the agency itself
The page will also run permalinks to the AFP websites
