ChatEurope launches live video coverage to bring EU news closer to citizens
ChatEurope, the go-to platform for European affairs created by leading European media outlets, enhances its offer with the launch of key EU events live video coverage.
Several times a week, the platform will stream live video feeds provided by Agence France-Presse, allowing users to follow the most relevant developments. From high-profile press conferences in Brussels to significant political announcements across member states, ChatEurope puts citizens right at the heart of European news as it unfolds.
Last week, ChatEurope livestreamed the EU’s new economic growth projections, speeches by Friedrich Merz and Emmanuel Macron at Europe’s Technological Sovereignty Summit in Berlin, and the EU Climate Commissioner’s press conference from COP30.
Don’t just read Europe. Watch it live.
This new feature aims to help Europeans better understand how news on EU affairs is shaped.
By watching events live, users gain insight into how information evolves - from the first statement at a press conference to the written stories they later read online or in newspapers.
The initiative seeks to build awareness among Europeans, guiding them through the news process step by step and fostering a stronger connection with Europe - how it works and how it impacts their daily lives. ChatEurope wants citizens not only to consume information but to experience it from its very beginning, creating a more informed and engaged public.
A unique platform – all in one place
In addition to the new live streaming feature, ChatEurope continues to offer its core services: a multilingual chatbot that answers questions on EU affairs with reliable, verified information, and access to news in multiple languages and from diverse European perspectives. With the integration of live video, citizens can now learn, watch and better understand what shapes Europe.
All live streams will be broadcasted on ChatEurope homepage www.chateurope.eu and will remain accessible at any time via ChatEurope’s YouTube channel.

Funding note
ChatEurope receives funding from the European Commission.
