Category: Network Infrastructure (Carrier/ISP)
Juniper’s 800G Linear Pluggable Optics Transceiver (OSFP-800G-DR8-PL)

  • Delivering high-density 800GbE connectivity and engineered for high-performance networks for AI workloads, the Linear Pluggable Optic (OSFP-800G-DR8-PL) reduces power consumption, addressing key sustainability challenges in large data centers, and is qualified for use across Juniper’s 800GbE-capable PTX and QFX product families.

Category: Security (High Performance)
SRX4700 Firewall

  • The SRX4700 next-generation firewall is designed for service providers, cloud providers, and large enterprises. The 1 R-U device delivers the industry’s highest firewall throughput per rack unit, up to 1.4 Tbps. It supports 400 Gbps interfaces with wire-speed MACsec to safeguard data in motion.
  • The SRX4700 integrates networking and security into a single platform. It features zero-trust capabilities, EVPN-VXLAN fabric integration, and AI Predictive Threat Prevention for ultra-high security efficacy. Centrally managed by Juniper Security Director Cloud, it delivers IPsec VPN, Carrier-Grade Network Address Translation (CGNAT), and unified policy management for securing your network reliably.
  • The SRX4700 Firewall is integral to Juniper’s Connected Security Distributed Services Architecture and empowers organizations to operationalize zero trust across their networks.

Category: ShowNet Contribution
Ultra Ethernet Interoperability Testing

  • Juniper Networks, Spirent Communications, and TOYO Corporation collaborated on a technical proof-of-concept as part of the ShowNet network infrastructure project at this year’s Interop Tokyo. The initiative marked Japan’s first functionality testing of Ultra Ethernet, a next-generation Ethernet technology.
  • The test focused on interoperability in a mixed environment comprising Ultra Ethernet Transport (UET) and RoCEv2 (RDMA over Converged Ethernet v2). The results demonstrated that in network infrastructures optimized for AI workloads and High-Performance Computing (HPC), Ultra Ethernet enables effective congestion management, along with low latency, high throughput, and low CPU overhead data transmission.
  • Test Equipment: QFX5240 Switch (QFX5240-64OD)
    • The QFX5240 Switch, powered by Broadcom Tomahawk 5 silicon, delivers high-density 800GbE connectivity in a compact 2U form factor, doubling the capacity of its predecessor to support large-scale AI/ML clusters.
