AFP is preparing full multimedia coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympics, being held February 12-28 in Vancouver, Canada. AFP will provide extensive coverage with more than 70 journalists, video reporters, photographers and technicians on the ground in Canada.
AFP clients will have at their disposal a range of information products live from the snowy slopes of Whistler and across all the competition sites.
Text and picture coverage will be augmented by a video pack of more than 80 reports offered for web sites around the world, as well as animated graphics presenting each of the Olympic sports. A totally innovative AFP content manager will enable web clients to customise and publish their own multimedia content modules on the event.
Beginning June 11, the Football World Cup finals will kick off for the first time on African soil. Here again AFP is providing clients with the most complete multimedia package on the market, combining text, photos, still and animated graphics and a fully-customisable "web 2.0" HTML application, as well as a dynamic Flash format application which will be rich in interactive content.
During these two global events, AFP will provide a flow of results that will be instantaneous and complete, available in XML format or ready to publish HTML modules.
