Photographe au bureau de Gaza
I started to work with AFP as a stringer in 2000 and was hired as AFP’s main staff photographer in the Gaza strip in 2003.
After my bachelor’s degree, I had worked as a journalist in a local newspaper where I used to take pictures for my reports.
That’s how I caught AFP’s eye in the first place.
In all honesty, my best moment with AFP was when I got the World Press Prize (for a picture of people fleeing shellings).
I am very proud of being a member of the AFP global family. AFP represents safety for me and for my family in face of the last three wars in the Gaza Strip.
