For this assignment in Antarctica, which lasted several weeks, AFP sent a team dedicated to text (Pierre-Henry Deshayes, correspondent in Oslo), video (Viken Kantarci, video stringer based in Paris) and photo (Johan Ordonez, photographer based in Guatemala City) to the North Pole.

Antarctica is the last frontier before disaster: its existence is crucial to the stability of our oceans and the climate.
