The coronation of the king of the Netherlands on live video with AFP

The coronation of Willem-Alexander, king of the Netherlands, and the following festivities are broadcast live and continuously from Amsterdam by the AFPTV teams.

The live feed of the new king’s coronation in the Nieuwe Kerk Cathedral, consisting of official images from Dutch network NOS, is scheduled from 12:00 to 13:30 GMT.
The live feed of the nautical parade on the Het IJ canal, with participation of the royal family, is scheduled to begin at 18:15 GMT.
The two live broadcasts can be followed on afp.com.

AFP carried its first live video broadcast in 2012. Since the start of 2013, which is set to be a year of significant growth for live HD coverage all over the world, AFP has already broadcast live feeds of events such as the election of Pope Francis, the funerals of Hugo Chavez and of Margaret Thatcher, and David Beckham’s first press conference for football club PSG.
