Obama takes key state of Pennsylvania: networks

WASHINGTON (AFP)

President Barack Obama on Tuesday won the key state of Pennsylvania after a fierce tussle with Republican rival Mitt Romney, who had made a last-ditch bid to win over the populous state.

MSNBC and Fox television predicted Pennsylvania -- which has 20 electoral college votes and which has been solidly Democratic for two decades -- had rallied behind Obama as he seeks a second term in the knife-edge race.
