Obama arrives in Myanmar on landmark visit

YANGON (AFP)

US President Barack Obama landed in Myanmar on Monday for a landmark visit aimed at encouraging a string of dramatic political reforms in the former pariah state.

Air Force One touched down in Yangon, bringing Obama on the first ever visit by a serving US president to the country also known as Burma, according to an AFP reporter on board.
