Hirscher wins men's world slalom

SCHLADMING, Austria (AFP)

Austrian Marcel Hirscher won the men's slalom at the World Ski Championships on Sunday.

The 23-year-old timed an aggregate of 1min 51.03sec over the two runs.

Germany's Felix Neureuther took silver at 0.42sec, with Austria's two-time world champion Mario Matt claiming bronze at 0.65sec.
