EADS/BAE set to decide on pursuing merger talks

PARIS (AFP)

European aerospace giant EADS said on Tuesday that it and British arms maker BAE Systems would decide during the day whether to continue their talks on a merger to create the world's top group in the fields of civil and military aerospace.

The heads of the two groups, "Ian King and Tom Enders will discuss the situation later today and then decide, jointly with the respective company Boards, the way forward," an EADS spokesman said on Tuesday.
