Britain set new world record for women's TP

LONDON (AFP)

Britain beat their own world record on their way to topping the times in qualifying for the women's team pursuit on Friday.

Dani King, Laura Trott and Joanna Rowsell completed 12 laps of the Olympic velodrome to clock a new world mark of 3min 15.669sec, beating their old mark of 3:15.720 for the 3 km event.
