LONDON (AFP)

Brazil retained the Olympic women's volleyball title on Saturday, beating the United States in the final 3-1 (11-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-17).

The women's team delivered what could be the first leg of a volleyball double for Brazil, whose men's team will take on Russia in their final on Sunday.

Earlier Saturday, Japan claimed bronze with a 3-0 victory over South Korea (25-22, 26-24, 25-21).
