David Beckham will make his first start for Paris Saint-Germain in Wednesday's French Cup game against Marseille, coach Carlo Ancelotti said on Tuesday.

"Yes, Beckham will start in the position of (suspended midfielder) Marco Verratti," Ancelotti told reporters before Wednesday's game.

Beckham earned his spurs in a cameo debut appearance from the bench at the weekend, setting up the second goal in a 2-0 win over Marseille in the league which left the capital club three points clear in the title race.
