Attackers behead five in northeast Nigeria

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (AFP)

Attackers beheaded five people on Wednesday in the restive northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri, which has been hard hit by violence blamed on Islamist extremist group Boko Haram, residents said.

"I saw the five decapitated bodies before they were taken away by soldiers from the (military task force)," one resident told AFP.
